Celebrating World Dog Day

On Wednesday 26th August, we celebrated World Dog Day! On this special day, we recognised and celebrated the amazing work of our wonderful Wellbeing Dog, Archie, and the positive impact he has on our school community.

Classes participated in a range of fun and meaningful activities, including reading the story The Very Hungry Wellbeing Dog – Archie, written by Miss Davies. The story reminded students of the important role Archie plays in helping students feel calm, happy and supported at school.

It also highlighted the importance of caring for Archie and looking after our school environment. Students were reminded that one simple way we can care for Archie is by making sure that all rubbish, including food scraps, is placed in the bin. This helps to keep our school clean and safe and ensures Archie can continue to enjoy exploring our grounds without accidentally eating something that could make him unwell.

It was a wonderful opportunity for students to celebrate Archie while learning about kindness, responsibility and caring for the environment we share.
