Student Leaders - 2026

Welcoming families
Our student leaders have been busy hosting assemblies, and reporting to the Governing Council, and this term, they added two more special jobs to their calendar. For the first time at Modbury School P-6, our student leaders attended the parent information session for our new mid-year reception families.
The students spoke about what it means to be part of the Modbury School community, and shared some of their reflections about the wonderful things that happen at school. They also gave families information about their role as a Student leader, and how they as leaders are able to support new reception students as they begin their time at Modbury.
Our student leaders recently attended an online CE (Curriculum Engagement) Meaning Making Workshop. These workshops are designed to empower students by developing their understanding of curriculum concepts and enhancing their ability to contribute to positive learning environments. Through interactive discussions with other schools, and collaborative activities, our leaders explored ways to connect classroom learning with real-world applications, fostering deeper engagement and critical thinking.
This opportunity supports our commitment to student voice, promoting leadership and active participation in shaping the future of our learning community. We look forward to sharing their work with you as they attend more workshops throughout the year.
