WA Student Assistance Payment

2025 Western Australian Student Assistance Payment - Applications Now Open

 

The 2025 WA Student Assistance Payment has opened, giving families the opportunity to claim:

  • $250 per secondary student
  • $150 per primary or kindergarten student

 Applications close on Friday, 4 July 2025.

 

There are three ways to apply:

  1. Via the ServiceWA app
  2. By completing a paper application (see link below)
  3. Through a Digital Assist Kiosk

The ServiceWA Digital Assist Kiosk has been established to help families apply. This is available at:

 

Armadale Library - Armadale Central Shopping Centre - 64/10 Orchard Avenue, Armadale

 

Kiosk opening times:

  • Friday, 23 May - 10am-4pm
  • Saturday, 24 May - 9am-12pm

To get help at the kiosk, families must bring: 

  1. A smartphone with the ServiceWA and myGovlD apps installed
  2. Any two Australian identity documents (e.g. passport, driver's licence, birth certificate, etc.)
  3. Their child's WA Student Number (WASN), found on school reports, NAPLAN results or SmartRider cards. For new Kindergarten and Pre-primary students, schools can provide this number.
