Vinnies Youth Corner

Vinnies Youth has launched the Winter Appeal this week. As the weather is starting to turn a little cooler, we reach for our jumpers and blankets. Some people in our community are doing it tough and may not have access to warm clothing and blankets, whether they are homeless or just getting by with the cost-of-living crisis.

Often when raising young adults and children, last year’s jumpers no longer fit, especially when there has been a big growth spurt! As you try on your winter clothes and realise your families may have outgrown them, please consider donating them through Homerooms for Vinnies. The clothing donated will feature in a dress-up competition between the Houses on Lumen Day before being donated, so every type of clothing is welcomed.

There is also House recognition for the House who has donated the most blankets, and the Houses will also be playing Blanket bingo to win Cartoni cup points. A grid of the blankets each House will need to play Bingo is shown below.
