VET and Careers

It’s exciting to see our VET students in action working towards their qualifications and gaining industry experience.

Samantha McKennay (Year 12) is studying Certificate III in Animal Care Services at the Health Science Hub. Her class was fortunate enough to have a guest speaker specialising in wildlife care and animal handling visit the class who shared extensive knowledge and experience in caring for various wildlife species, providing valuable insights into the importance of conservation and humane animal handling practices. 

Emily Crestani (Year 12) is studying Certificate III in Makeup at North Metropolitan TAFE and is gaining industry experience learning the skills and knowledge required to sell retail in a beauty salon. She is currently completing a unit on how to effectively engage with customers.

Well done to Hallemia Jansen (Year 12) for securing a work placement at Opal Health Care while studying a Certificate IV in Preparation for Health and Nursing Studies at AMA during the exam break.

Spotlight

We would like to congratulate Manat Brar in Year 12 who is currently completing a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance at the Health Science Hub. She also attends work placement at Brightwater Aged Care. We are pleased to announce that Manat has been offered a full-time position as an Advanced Therapy Assistant starting in Term Four.
