NAPLAN Yr 7-9

Students in Years 7 and 9 again completed NAPLAN assessments in Reading, Writing and Numeracy this year. This national assessment is helpful to understand the teaching and learning at the college and is helpful to see the growth of students from years 7 – 9.

Whilst these tests are not a comprehensive view of students’ abilities, they do help to provide insight into a snapshot of student performance. Both the school and families should receive results in the next few weeks, and we are happy to discuss individual results once they do arrive.

Despite reports in the media about problems with the platform at the beginning of the test period, fortunately John Fawkner College was able to complete all testing without any issues. Students in both year levels displayed exemplary behaviour across the testing days and are commended for giving it their best efforts!
