ARTS

As part of the Begonia Festival, Beaufort Primary School was invited to submit a painting into an exhibition hosted by Central Highland's Water. Our animal for this year was an echidna. The painting needed to have an element of water so, many thanks to Baylee and Chelsea for providing the echidna and water illustrations which formed to basis of our work. Well done, to all the students who contributed in small and large efforts to the final art work.
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the Begonia Festival and voted for our submission.
In Year 5/6, students have been developing designs and lettering skills to create personalised snowboards. This work was inspired by the recent Winter Olympics in Italy.
Students in Year 4 are crating artworks inspired by the work of Italian artist, Giuseppe Arcimboldo. We are using a range of fruits and vegetables of varying kinds to create portraits.
In Years 1-3, students have been making a delightful mess with papier mache to create animal sculptures. The majority of students are nearly ready for painting. We have frilled necked lizards, giraffes, birds, snakes and dragons as some examples.
In Foundation, we created butterflies using different materials. These can be seen on the class page.
