“HOT OF THE PRESS” – STATE ATHLETICS

Having placed 2nd at Regional, Grayden qualified for the State Championships which were held yesterday at Lakeside Athletics Stadium, Albert Park. This is Grayden’s first year at competing in Discus, so being new to the event, it is hard for an athlete to always be throwing their best consistently. Whilst, Grayden didn’t throw the discus quite as far as he did at Regionals, he did an amazing job just to get to State and finish 11th overall.

JUNIOR SPORT – THURSDAY 13TH NOVEMBER

Once again, the PE Department is organising a Junior Sport House Carnival for our students in Foundation through to Year 2. This event is to be held on the school oval and tennis courts on Thursday 13th November, 9:15 – 11:15. Parents are welcome to attend to support all our students.

This is a House Carnival, where the emphasis is on the students having fun and participating actively in all the activities for their House. Students (and for some activities, parents/guardians) will rotate through 6 different activities:

  • Egg and Spoon (student)
  • Running (student)
  • “Shot Put” and “Javelin Throw” (student)
  • Sack race (parent and student)
