PFC

Last Friday was Teacher Appreciation Day. The Parents and Friends Club would like to thank all of our wonderful teachers for the hard work they do to support, educate, and help the students of Langy Park to thrive.

In the previous newsletter we included a link to a survey for an upcoming Cadbury fundraiser. We didn’t quite get enough responses to meet our order minimums, so we have decided to postpone this fundraiser to term 1, 2026. Look out for more information about this early next year!

AMG

Join our Parents and Friends Club!

What’s involved in being a part of the PFC? We hold monthly meetings where you can:

  • Get to know other school families.
  • Be a parent/carer voice for our school community.
  • Help create fun events to make school extra fun!
  • Fundraise to help improve our school.

Our annual AGM will be held next Thursday 13th November from 2:00pm to 3:15pm.

The roles of President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary will be elected at the AGM. These positions must be filled to enable the PFC to continue to operate. If you think you've got what it takes, nomination forms are available at the school office.

We don’t just need people who are willing to take on the elected positions; big or small, there is a role for you! Some of the tasks we’d love help with in 2026 include:

  • Event volunteers
  • Someone to manage Facebook
  • Help creating flyers/advertising events
  • Newsletter writer
  • Event planners
  • Help managing the second hand uniform stall

If you have any skills you think would help please come along (or if you can't make it, please reach out via email: langwarrinparkpfc@gmail.com).

Kids are welcome. Remember to sign in at the office.

UNIFORM DONATIONS NEEDED

Please send any too small or no longer needed uniform items our way so that we can keep our second hand uniform shop well stocked. Our next stall date is 30th November.

We heard your feedback, so this year our Christmas Casual Dress Day will be held on the same day as The LPPS Christmas Concert (December 10).

Santa would love to continue the tradition of handing out Zooper Doopers at the Concert, however we need your help to make this happen. We are asking that each family donates one pack of Zooper Doopers in lieu of a gold coin donation… we repeat, one pack per family. We’re letting you know now so that you can keep an eye out for when they go on special.

Please bring donations to school no later than December 1st so we… ahem, Santa… has time to freeze them before the Christmas Concert.
