Paper Plate Watermelon Fan

What you’ll need

Paper plates

Icy Pole Sticks 

Paint: green, pink, light pink, black

How to Make a Paper Plate Watermelon Fan

1. Cut a V-shape from the paper plate to create a watermelon wedge.
2. Paint the craft stick and the rim of the paper plate green.
3. Paint the centre of the plate pink.
4. Use light pink to add a border between the green and pink paint on the paper plate.
5. Use the handle end of a large paintbrush dipped in black paint to dot on the seeds.
6. When everything is dry, use white craft glue to attach the craft stick to the back of the paper plate.

Paper Plate Octopus Craft

What you’ll need

Paper Plate

Paint

Coloured Paper 

Googly Eyes

Stapler or Tape

Scissors

Instructions

1. Paint the top surface of the paper plate in your Favorite colour of craft paint. Allow to dry completely, then glue google eyes at the top of the plate.
2. While the paint is drying, cut 1-inch strips of different colors of cardstock. You will need 8 different colors of cardstock, one color for each of the 8 octopus tentacles. You can make the tentacles as long or short as you like; we used 6 strips (loops) for each tentacle.
3. Staple the ends of one strip around the bottom edge of the paper plate. Repeat until you have the beginning loop (start of each tentacle) of each colour attached to the plate.
4. Start with the first colour and bring another strip of paper through the initial loop and staple or tape the ends together to form a second loop in the chain. Continue until you have created all 8 chains, for 8 colourful tentacles.
