Body Bright - Live Webinar

Raising Body Bright Children - Live Webinar
Children today are growing up in a world where appearance pressures start far too early. Parents and carers naturally want their children to feel confident and comfortable in their bodies, but it’s not always easy to know how to help.
That’s why Butterfly is inviting parents of primary age children to a live, virtual seminar designed to provide the tools, knowledge, and confidence to nurture a positive body image and a healthy relationship with eating and physical activity, right from the start.
In this practical, engaging session, parents will learn:
- How body image develops in primary-age children
- Common risk factors for body dissatisfaction and how to reduce them at home
- Everyday ways to be a positive role model around eating and physical activity
- The importance of the language used around bodies and appearance
- How to respond if you notice body image concerns
- Where to find help and support if needed
Complementing the Body Bright school program, ‘Raising Body Bright Children’ explores the key risk and protective factors that influence children’s body image, and provides practical tips for what families can be doing at home to promote a positive body image and a healthy relationship with eating and physical activity. This session explores what body image is and why it’s important, key influences on children’s body image through the lens of the Butterfly Body Bright 6 themes, practical strategies for families to implement, and tips for empowering children to feel BRIGHT in their body.
NOTE: This session is not designed for children to attend.
Want to help your child grow up feeling good in their body? Butterfly’s webinar for parents of primary age children provides practical strategies to build body confidence, create positive relationships with food and movement, and know what support is available.
