WOW! Let's Use Our Road Safety Skills

Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope this message finds you well. We wanted to remind you about the 'WOW' program, also known as 'Walk or Wheel Once a Week,' delivered by the City of Darebin. The program encourages students to walk, scoot, or bike to school every Friday this term.
Participating in ‘WOW’ is a good opportunity to apply our road safety knowledge and skills.
Check with your child to see if they remember some of these tips:
- Stop, look both ways, and listen before crossing the road.
- Use the Safety Door when getting in or out of cars. It is the kerbside side, away from traffic.
- Don't cross the road when you're standing between two parked cars.
- Always wear a helmet when cycling or riding a scooter.
We encourage everyone to continue participating in the 'WOW' program and to do so safely.
Let's work together to make sure our journeys to school are safe and healthy.
