South Oakleigh College Library
The South Oakleigh College Library supports student learning, literacy development, and wellbeing by providing a safe and welcoming space for reading, study, research and games during lunchtime including “Chess club”
Resources
Students have access to a wide range of fiction and non-fiction texts, including high-interest titles, graphic novels, eBooks, and audiobooks. Library staff are always available to help students choose suitable reading material.
Access
The library is open before school, at recess and lunchtime, and after school on selected days. 8:30am – 4:30 pm
Learning Support
The library supports students with research, referencing, digital literacy, and study skills. Classes regularly use the library as part of teaching and learning programs. We also run “Homework Club” on Mondays and Thursdays after school.
Digital Access
Students can access our digital library (Wheelers eBook platform) 24/7 from home using their school student ID: . ie.NBA0001 generic password : Soclibrary25
Borrowing
Students may borrow up to 3 items for 2 weeks and renew if needed. Families are encouraged to support the timely return of library materials as they also play a vital role in fostering a love of reading. We encourage families to discuss reading choices with their children and support regular reading at home.
