Battle of the Bottles: Students vs Staff

The results are in for the Battle of the Bottles: Students vs Staff competition!

Students collected 688 cans and bottles, while teachers collected 956, giving the win to the teachers! In total, 1,644 cans and bottles have been saved from ending up in landfill.

 

A big thank you to Year 12 Sustainability Leaders Jasmine Ptok and Peter Overton for driving this initiative and helping to keep Kilvington green!

International Chemistry Quiz Awards

Congratulations to Kilvington chemistry students for their outstanding results in the 2025 International Chemistry Quiz (ICQ), run by the Royal Australian Chemical Institute. 

 

The ICQ is a competition for students across Australia and more than 20 countries worldwide, including India, Germany and China.

 

This challenging assessment tests chemistry knowledge and understanding. Well done to our students on their excellent performance:

If you’ve ever wondered what our Year 12 students do when they finish School, here’s your answer: they glam up and volunteer at the latest Flying Fox Hangout!

Flying Fox Hangouts are vibrant, community-based social events designed for young people with and without disability to connect and have fun. On Monday night, Flying Fox had a Formal, and several of our wonderful graduates attended as buddies.
