Volunteers Needed for Hang and Bang

Next week, we will be reaching out to families with a request for volunteers to assist with the Contemporary springART ‘Hang and Bang’, which takes place during the week leading up to the event. Please keep an eye on your inbox to see which evening your year level is scheduled to support, along with further information.

Loreto Old Scholar Boys Reunion

Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming back our male Loreto Old Scholars for a memorable reunion, coinciding with our 120 Year Exhibition at the College. It was truly heartwarming to reconnect with these old scholars, especially since it has been over a decade since our last Old Scholar Boys gathering, and 27 years since we had the boys as part of the Junior School here at the College.

Loreto Ladies Lunch

We are looking forward to hosting the sold out Loreto Ladies Lunch this Sunday at Ayres House. We can’t wait to share highlights and photos from the event in our next newsletter!

This special afternoon is open to all Old Scholars, with a particular focus on milestone reunion years (5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 years). We’re also welcoming men who attended Loreto in the Junior School, as we’ve had a lot of interest from this group and would love to include them in the celebrations.

Join your fellow Loreto Graduates for drinks and nibbles at our Milestone Reunion Day on Saturday 18th October. The afternoon will begin with a tour of the College followed by drinks and nibbles in The Square. To make the most of the occasion, we warmly encourage you to continue the festivities with your year group after the event. Many local venues such as The Bath Hotel, Robin Hood Hotel, HulaHoop, Rising Sun Inn, and The Feathers Hotel are perfect for a casual dinner or drinks and offer a great opportunity to catch up. Please feel free to organise something for your year level.

From the Health Care Centre

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

As we are amid the winter season, we kindly ask that if your daughter is unwell with any infectious illness, she remains at home until she has fully recovered and is free of symptoms. This helps us protect the health and wellbeing of our entire school community, especially those who are immunocompromised.

Please notify both your daughter’s class teacher and the College Nurse by emailing healthcarecentre@loreto.sa.edu.au if your daughter is diagnosed with or experiencing symptoms of an infectious illness.

Common symptoms to watch for include:

· Fever

· Runny nose

· Cough

· Sore throat

· Vomiting

· Diarrhoea

· Headache

Please be aware that the infectious period can vary depending on the specific illness. For detailed and accurate guidance, we recommend consulting the SA Health guidelines.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep the Loreto community safe and healthy. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the Health Care Centre at healthcarecentre@loreto.sa.edu.au

Warm regards,
