Celebrating Our Recent Achievements

I am delighted to share that Loreto College Marryatville has recently received national and state-level recognition, affirming our position as a leader in Independent Catholic girls’ education. These acknowledgements reflect the hard work, talent, and commitment of our staff, students, and community, and they highlight the impact of our strategic focus on academic excellence, holistic wellbeing, and contemporary learning environments.

In the latest News Limited rankings of the Top 100 Independent Schools across Australia, Loreto College Marryatville was ranked No. 79 nationally. This places us in the Top 15 Independent Schools in South Australia, among the Top 5 Independent Girls’ Schools in the state, and proudly as the No. 1 Independent Catholic Girls’ School in South Australia. These rankings are determined by a range of measures including ATAR results, NAPLAN performance, facilities, and teacher-student ratios.

Our commitment to explicitly teaching wellbeing has also been recognised in SchoolNews magazine’s Principal Speaks feature, which profiled our approach and the way it supports strong academic outcomes. This positions Loreto College Marryatville as a thought leader in integrating wellbeing with educational success.

We were also proud to be featured in the August 2025 SALIFE Education Showcase, where our academic excellence, holistic education model, and the unique advantages of an all-girls learning environment were celebrated in this statewide publication.

In addition, Loreto College Marryatville has been named a finalist in the Australian Education Awards for Best Student Wellbeing Program. This nomination recognises our SEAD (Social, Emotional, Academic Development) program, which plays such a vital role in nurturing resilience, character, and confidence in our students.

Whilst we are very proud of these awards and acknowledgements, what truly drives the staff at Loreto College Marryatville is the work we do each day with our students.  The care and support we give them, celebrating their successes, and helping them build strength and confidence when times are challenging. These daily moments of connection and growth are the heart of who we are.

This wave of recognition strengthens our reputation locally and nationally, but more importantly, it reaffirms that we are achieving what we set out to do, that is, educating young women to be confident, compassionate, and capable leaders.
