Mathematics 

To begin our school year, we have been meeting with each child individually to complete their Mathematics Online Interview (MOI). This has been to help us understand exactly what your child already knows in Counting and Place Value and how we can best support their learning journey.

In our daily lessons, students have been exploring Patterns and Algebra. We are learning how to follow simple instructions and how to recognise, copy, and create repeating patterns using objects, colors, and even our own body movements! 

In Measurement, we have been focusing on Time. The children are learning to sequence the days of the week and connect specific times - like morning, lunchtime, and night-time - to their own daily routines.

We are also spending a lot of time on Number and Place Value. We are currently focusing on the numbers 0 to 10. Students are practising how to name, order, and represent these numbers using blocks and drawings.
