Religious Education  

The first unit of the new curriculum for students in Foundation is called Jesus Shows Us God’s Love. The first learning sequence introduces Jesus as the Son of God and Son of Mary born into our world. Jesus is both fully divine and fully human, and through Jesus, people learn what God is like and are invited to know God in a personal way. After that, through a passage from Mark’s Gospel, students are shown what it means to be in relationship with God through Jesus’ example. Students will then further engage with scripture through The Gospel of John’s recount of the Last Supper. This scripture demonstrates Jesus’ radical model of love and leadership.
