Writing 

Our writing lessons are focused on building the fine motor muscles in the children's hands. We spend time each day practising a correct pencil grip and learning how to trace our names with care. Through our UFLI program, students are being introduced to letter sounds, which is the first step in learning how to blend sounds together to read and write simple words. It is wonderful to see the children gain control over their pencils as they practise their letter formation and learn to write each letter clearly. Our Prep students will also be learning what makes a simple sentence and understanding the parts of a sentence.
