A Word from Justin
Term 4, Week 6 - Friday 14th of November, 2025
Dear Families and Students of OLSC
It is so hard to belive that we are in the final half of Term 4. All staff are reminding the students that the term is not over and it is still full steam ahead!
On Wednesday evening, Sandy's mum passed away. Beryl has been gravely ill for a couple of weeks now and was in pain. Please keep Sandy and her dad, Bill and the wider family in your prayers as they deal with this loss.
I have spoken with Sandy and they are doing okay considering the circumstances and are supporting each other. I have offered the condolences of the whole community on your behalf.

Thank you to everyone who came along to celebrate our Feast Day. Thank you especially to John who planned the procession of Mary around our school grounds and the wonderful liturgical celebration that followed.

Kaboom Kid then facilitated a very high-energy and high-noise 90 minute session for the students. I am sure that each and every one of our students enjoyed today!

I invite all families to come along to this weekend's Community Mass. This will be the last Community Mass for the year and let's make it a big one! Each month these community gatherings have gathered strength and I know Father Albert and the assistant priests are delighted at how many members ogf the community gather each third Saunday of the month at 10:00 am.
Thank you all for your undertsanding for the need to close the school last Friday due to the theft of our water main. I know that this was a huge imposition to families and I am grateful for your understanding.
If you are planning on moving house and not returning to OLSC please let Ruki know as soon as possible. We currently have waiting lists in all year levels for 2026.
If anyone in your family has an achievement that could be shared in the newsletter and is worthy of celebration and acknowledgement, please email Justin to be included in the next newsletter.
