Extra-Curricular at MAG

Rock Band Concert
Term 4 is in full swing, and it is an exciting time for our Extra-Curricular Music program with the annual Rock Band Concert just around the corner on Monday, 10 November (Week 6), which promises to be a highlight. This will be located on the Primary Lawn and run from 4pm to 6:15pm. All students and families are warmly invited to attend, but be mindful that there will be quite a crowd, considering there are 115 total band members and their families!
Sausages will be available (until sold out) along with an exciting raffle of a guitar pack kindly donated by Deniliquin Newsagency and Shane McGrath Music Academy. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Moama Bakery for generously supporting our sausage sizzle. Raffle tickets are available via the QR Code for your chance to win! All funds raised from sausages and the raffle will be put towards the purchase of a new performance-quality drum kit for our extra-curricular rock band program. You can buy your tickets here.
Co-Curricular Music
Last week, our Junior Singers and Global Folk Ensemble caught a bus over to Wharparilla Lodge to perform for the welcoming residents of Echuca Community for the Aged and Cobb Haven in Moama. Our students represented themselves and our school brilliantly, and they thoroughly enjoyed sharing their music with the wider community.
Students will also have opportunities to perform at upcoming Primary and Secondary Assemblies, as well as the Presentation Assemblies. A lunchtime pop-up band performance is also in the works!
A big thank you to all our dedicated music tutors, ensemble directors, and, of course, our incredible students for their ongoing commitment and passion. The level of talent and enthusiasm across our extra-curricular music program continues to impress — it’s a joy to see so many students making music a regular part of their week.
2025 Extra-Curricular Tuition Applications
We offer a variety of instruments available for students to learn through our extra-curricular music program.
