Primary School

On Friday 31 October, the Primary School community connected at the Primary Assembly. I would like to congratulate Nate Michael and Lucy Donnan, the Meninya House Captains, for confidently leading the Assembly. The audience was entertained by beautiful performances from Edith Nield, who played Ode to Joy on the piano, Harry Nichol, who played Hard Rock Blues on the trumpet, and the Primary Dance Group, who performed a beautiful dance routine to I Always Wanted a Brother from Mufasa: The Lion King.

Throughout the Assembly, we were treated to various recounts, including a video capturing the highlights from the Year 6 Camp to Canberra, a video and chant song from students that captured many of the adventurous activities at the Year 4 Camp to Kyneton, and a professional video from the Kindergarten Big Day Out.

We look forward to our next Assembly on Friday 28 November, when the Year 3 students will perform for us. Congratulations to the students below who received a Core Value Award for consistently displaying one or more of the School’s Core Values and Motto. Keep up the great work!

Kindergarten Superstar Awards

At our recent Stage Assembly, we proudly celebrated our Kindergarten Superstars for their outstanding efforts and achievements! These students have shown persistence, resilience and a strong commitment to our school values of Integrity, Compassion and Respect. Congratulations to our award recipients: Alice Colakidis, Bobby Duggan-Hulands, Arlo Scadden, Patrick Vick, Loui Levy, River Morgan, and Joel Atkinson. We are so proud of you all!

Stage 1 Assembly

On Wednesday 5 November, Students in Year 1B proudly hosted the Stage 1 Assembly. Students shared their classroom learning from this term with confidence and enthusiasm, presenting a range of work from across the curriculum. They explained how they have been exploring alliteration in poetry, practising speedy subtraction strategies in Mathematics and discovering the differences between hardware and software in their IPT lessons.

The audience also enjoyed hearing about the class’s Geography Unit on ‘Community Helpers’ and their Science investigations into the five senses. Each student spoke clearly and with pride, reflecting the effort and understanding they have shown in their learning. It was a wonderful celebration of achievements and the progress students in Year 1B have made this term.

Message from the Office

A reminder that the playgrounds around the Primary School are not supervised by staff after school. Parents are required to take an active role in the supervision of their children if they are using the play equipment. Students who do not have a parent present to actively supervise them will be asked to move away. We appreciate your understanding.
