🌟 A Good News Story

I recently shared a wonderful story after we received a mention on 3AW from a member of the public who had crossed paths with some of our students on a train. He described our students as courteous and helpful to fellow passengers - something we are incredibly proud of.

Ā

The story didn’t end there. A generous resident from Coronet Bay also heard the broadcast and contacted the school to congratulate our students. In a remarkable gesture, he donated $1000 in recognition of their kindness and exemplary behaviour. He also wished our students every success.Ā

Ā

My sincere thanks to those students for representing not only LHS, but all young people, in such a positive light.

šŸ« Open Night 2026

Thursday, March 19 saw us host our annual Open Night - and what a fantastic evening it was! With over 900 visitors in attendance, families enjoyed hearing from speakers, connecting with staff and students, and learning about all that LHS has to offer.

Ā

Thank you to everyone involved in making the night such a success. A special mention to our School Captains, Bryn and Ayasha, and our Year 8 Captains, Hermione and Chase, for their confident and articulate speeches.

A big thank you to Tegan and Mike, our Zoo Directors, for organising such a successful event. Our student Zoo Keepers were outstanding ambassadors for the school, and we look forward to hosting more events in the coming months to showcase this incredible facility.

 🌟Presentation Ball

The Year 11 Presentation Ball, held on the evening of Sunday 29 March, was a fantastic success! Students looked absolutely stunning, and the new venue at CENTREPIECE: The Grand Hall, Melbourne Park provided the perfect setting for an evening full of celebration and memorable performances. It’s always such a joy to see families come together at events like this.

Ā

A huge thank you to Dani Devine for her incredible work in organising the event, and to the Coordination Team and Melissa McMillan, Assistant Principal, for their support on the night. Special thanks also to Kelsey Currie and Jeremy Neumann, who did a fabulous job as MCs!
