PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

We have had another busy few weeks with our Year 8 students enjoying a successful camp at the Kinglake Forest Adventure Camp, while McKinnon’s Senior Stage Band returned to the Generations in Jazz event held in Mount Gambier during the first weekend in May. 

We celebrated an incredible Sci-Fi String night  held at the East Campus, while our Year 12 Theatre Studies class showcased their production of The Unravelling at the McKinnon Road campus.

SCHOOL TOURS

Our school tours were a fantastic success, and I want to extend a thank you to our wonderful Year 10 student guides. They did a fantastic job showcasing our campus and welcoming prospective families into our community. I would also like to thank Pip Andrieux for her seamless coordination of the tours.

EDUCATION PERFECT

McKinnon students have once again excelled on the global stage in the 2026 Education Perfect Global Languages Championship. This prestigious international competition provides a wonderful platform for our students to demonstrate their linguistic prowess and sharpen their skills in the languages they study. Such an outstanding achievement underscores our school's commitment to developing informed global citizens through a rich and diverse languages program.

This success is a testament to the hard work of our students and the dedication of our staff. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Jennifer Lynd for her oversight of the event, as well as our incredible Language Department. To all the staff and students involved: thank you for your enthusiasm and for representing McKinnon with such distinction on the world stage.
