YEAR 10 INFORMAL
The Year 10 Informal 2026 was an absolute success. This spectacular event took place on Friday evening in the Hall at McKinnon Road Campus. The night featured a big photo booth, delicious foods such as pizza, ice cream from a local ice creamery, retro gaming and a dance floor with a groovy playlist.
This evening was truly magical. Every student who attended felt welcomed by everyone else, which made the energy in the room so bright and joyous. It was wonderful to see everyone getting along and having so much fun altogether. Even students who were not very familiar with one other, had the opportunity to connect, bringing people in the cohort closer together.
The money raised from the Informal was donated to three specific charities: Pets of the Homeless, Bayside Community Emergency relief (BCER) and Kids Undercover. A dedicated group of Year 10 students volunteered to help organise the event, as well as Mr Hunt, who put an incredible amount of time and effort in making this night so memorable.
Overall, the Year 10 Informal was a fantastic event that brought students together and created lasting memories. Every moment was filled with happiness and joy with all the strong connections everyone made with each other, making it a night to remember.

YEAR 8 CAMP
For a two-week period over the last week of April, first week of May the Year 8s attended the Kinglake Adventure Camp! This camp was extraordinary! We had many fun activities including rock climbing, leap of faith and free fall. The adrenaline when climbing up the free fall and leap of faith was terrifying, but as you jump, wind rushes past you and you feel like a bird soaring through the sky. Not to mention, the food was spectacular! We had many great meals that the camp chefs put great effort into make delicious food for all the students. Our favourite food was the chicken schnitzel with potato and salad, and don't forget the mouth watering ice cream with chocolate fudge!
The activity we had all been waiting for was the Hunger Games at night. We had to compete against the other groups to see who could complete the challenges the quickest. Kinglake Adventure Camp is set in a beautiful forest with tall eucalyptus trees that almost looked infinite and never-ending. In the forest, we did an activity called wilder gaining. It's where we compete against other groups in games to get rewarded a block, each block you get is for which team gets the most blocks stacked in a pyramid.
Overall, I miss this camp very much, the memories created here were unforgettable! We would definitely go back again if we could.
