LOTE

It has been a fantastic end to Term 1 in Indonesian, with students showing great enthusiasm and engagement in their learning. Throughout the past couple of weeks, we have been exploring a range of celebrations and traditions from across Indonesia, including Ramadan, Idul Fitri (Eid), and Easter.

Students have enjoyed participating in a variety of games and activities that recognise these important events, while also reinforcing and developing their Indonesian language skills.

Our Year 5 and 6 students have also begun working with “task cards,” allowing them to explore different aspects of Indonesian language and culture through both research and hands-on language activities. This approach encourages student choice, independence, and active input into their learning, and it has been wonderful to see their curiosity and creativity shine.

Selamat Paskah (Happy Easter) and Selamat Idul Fitri (Happy Eid), and we wish all families a safe and enjoyable holiday break!

Performing Arts

There is a real buzz building across the school as we begin preparing for our 2026 whole-school production, "Disney’s Alice in Wonderland JR". Students have started exploring the story, characters, and music, and enthusiasm is already high. We can’t wait to see this magical production come to life on stage later in the year.

A reminder that auditions for main roles will be open to Year 5 and 6 students, with auditions set to commence in Week 1 of Term 2. We are looking forward to seeing students step outside their comfort zones and showcase their talents.

We are also incredibly proud of our choir, who performed their first song together at assembly. This was a huge milestone—especially for our Prep students, many of whom were performing in front of an audience for the very first time. They showed great courage, teamwork, and enthusiasm, and it was wonderful to see their hard work pay off.

A big thank you to the parents and carers who have already reached out to offer their support with the production. Your willingness to help with areas such as costumes and backstage support is greatly appreciated—this simply wouldn’t be possible without your support.
