Rosalie Fourniotis

Assistant Principal - Senior School

It has been an action packed start to the year. It has been a positive start for both Year 10 and 11 students as they have started their senior schooling journey. Students have embraced the challenges from stepping up into the senior school to beginning their VCE journey. Students have approached this with maturity and a positive attitude.

Our Year 10 students have embraced their first semester in Senior School with enthusiasm, resilience, and a growing sense of independence. Throughout the term, they have participated in the Big Sister and Man Cave programs, engaging thoughtfully in experiences designed to build confidence, connection, and personal growth. Students have also successfully completed their first set of Senior School examinations, demonstrating commitment to their studies and developing valuable skills in preparation and organisation. Additionally, a number of students have undertaken work experience placements, gaining firsthand insight into potential career pathways and workplace expectations. We are proud of the way our Year 10 cohort has approached the challenges and opportunities of Senior School and look forward to seeing their continued growth throughout the year.

Year 11 students have made a strong start to their VCE journey, embracing the increased expectations and opportunities that come with the VCE & VPC pathways. Throughout the semester, students have undertaken their studies with determination and a growing commitment to success.

Our VCE-Vocational Major students have particularly enjoyed participating in the coffee-making course, developing practical skills and gaining valuable industry experience. We are proud of the way our Year 11 cohort has approached the challenges of their studies and look forward to supporting them as they continue to grow in confidence and capability throughout the year.

Our Year 12 students have also made an exceptional start to their final year of schooling, embracing their role as leaders within our school community with enthusiasm, maturity, and school spirit. Throughout the semester, they have created lasting memories through events such as the Year 12 Formal and a range of fun dress-up days, including Anything But a Bag Day and Adam Sandler Day. Their leadership skills and enthusiasm have been on full display, particularly at the Swimming Carnival where the cohort demonstrated outstanding involvement and support for one another. Students have also approached important academic milestones, including undertaking the General Achievement Test (GAT), with focus and determination.

Adding to the positive culture of the year level, students have enthusiastically participated in Home Group challenges such as egg-and-spoon races, rock-paper-scissors championships, and trivia competitions. Mr Roberts and Ms Fourniotis are incredibly proud of the way the Year 12 cohort has begun the year and the example they continue to set for younger students. We look forward to seeing all they accomplish as they complete their final year and prepare for the exciting opportunities that await them beyond school.
