Assistant Principal - Middle school (Year 7 to 9)

As we reach the end of another successful semester, it is an excellent opportunity to reflect on the many achievements, experiences and opportunities our Middle School students have embraced throughout the first half of the year.

This semester has seen students continue to grow academically, socially and personally, demonstrating resilience, curiosity and a willingness to challenge themselves both inside and outside the classroom.

One of the highlights of the semester has been our strong participation in interschool sport. Students represented the school with pride, displaying excellent teamwork and determination. Regardless of results, our students were outstanding ambassadors for the school, supporting one another and embracing the opportunity to compete against other schools. We thank all staff and students who assisted with coaching and supervision, making these valuable experiences possible.

Another standout event was the Year 9 Bushwacked Camp. Students stepped outside their comfort zones and embraced a range of outdoor adventure activities designed to build confidence, resilience and teamwork. Kayaking challenged students to work together and develop new skills on the water, while caving provided a unique opportunity to explore underground environments and overcome personal challenges. I was fortunate enough to attend this camp, and the students are to be commended on their participation and positivity.

We would like to thank our dedicated staff for their ongoing commitment to supporting student learning and wellbeing, and our families for their continued partnership throughout the semester. We wish all students and families a safe and enjoyable break.
