Principal's Report

Principal’s Report

As we reach the end of Term 2, it is hard to believe how much we have packed into the past 10 weeks. The term has been filled with learning, special events, camps, performances and sporting opportunities, all of which have helped create lasting memories for our students. It has been wonderful to see our school values of Community, Character, Connection and Curiosity on display throughout the term.

We began the term by welcoming families into classrooms for our Family Open Morning. It was fantastic to see so many parents, grandparents and family members sharing in their children’s learning and experiencing everyday life at Andersons Creek Primary School.

A major highlight of the term was our production of Aladdin Junior. Students impressed audiences with their singing, acting and dancing, while demonstrating commitment throughout months of rehearsals. in preparation. We are incredibly grateful to our Production Team who make these shows possible and proud of every student who contributed, both on stage and behind the scenes.

Our Girls AFL teams proudly represented Andersons Creek at the Girls AFL Day. One team, made up largely of girls trying AFL for the first time, had a fantastic experience, improving with every game and growing in confidence throughout the day. Our more experienced team progressed all the way to the Grand Final, narrowly going down by just two points.

Across both teams, the girls demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork, toughness and determination. Most importantly, they had a lot of fun and represented our school with pride.

Finally, we finished the term in true Andersons Creek style with our Big Freeze fundraiser. It was great to see our school community come together to support such an important cause while enjoying a fantastic afternoon of ice cold fun. Thank you to everyone who donated, participated and helped make the event such a success.

As always, I would like to thank our students for their enthusiasm, our staff for their dedication, and our families for their continued support of Andersons Creek Primary School. I wish everyone a safe, relaxing and enjoyable holiday break and look forward to welcoming students back for another fantastic term of learning in Term 3.

Kind Regards
