Dear Families

Last week, we had Rachel from Tasmania Police present Think You Know to our Year 1–Year 6 classes. The presentation focused on how to stay safe online, which games and apps are appropriate, and which ones should be avoided. Rachel also spoke about staying safe on our phones and devices, while highlighting the importance of having contact restrictions that are monitored and approved by parents and carers.

If you would like to look at the types of resources and information shared with your child, please visit the Think You Know website here: Resources | ThinkUKnow

More information around safety online can also be found through the eSafety Commission: Parents | eSafety Commissioner

Uniform reminders

A gentle reminder that, although the days are getting colder, all extra layers should be a part of our approved uniform items. Please see our website for our Uniform Handbook: Uniform - St Mary's College

Bus behaviour

It has been reported on several occasions over the past fortnight by our dedicated bus drivers that some students' behaviour has not been in keeping with our bus and transport code of conduct.

We ask that families please remind their children that when catching the bus, they must remain seated at all times with their seatbelt fastened and show respect to those around them. Physically invading another student’s personal space or taking someone else’s belongings will not be tolerated.

We want all students to travel to and from school safely. For a reminder of our Bus and Transport Code of Conduct, please see our website here.
