Preps

What an amazing day we had last Friday! The Preps looked amazing in their 100-year-old costumes and great fun was had all day. We wanted to thank all the parents and any other people who helped the Preps get their costumes ready, the thought and detail was super impressive.

A highlight of the day was the Froot Loop necklace making, we may have underestimated how long it would take to thread 100 pieces of cereal onto a piece of string, but the result was amazing.

This term we are asking for volunteers to help with the Prep library sessions. This will involve simple tasks such as scanning books in and out. The Prep sessions are on a Wednesday afternoon with PJ at 2:20pm and PA at 2:45pm. If you would like to assist, please and speak to either of us. All volunteers must have a current WWCC.

In Term 3 the Preps are completing a reading unit based on the picture story book ‘The Unwilling Twin’. This book is a multi-award-winning story written by Freya Blackwood and is a cheeky and charming story about the ups and downs of sibling love. We will use this book as a base to study things such as information reports, verbs and adjectives. In Maths we will continue to be looking at counting, place value and have started a unit on money.
