2026 Italian Day
Thursday 12th November
Italian Day is just around the corner, and we are getting ready for a fun-filled day celebrating all things Italian!
There will be lots happening throughout the day, including our Italian Fancy Dress Parade, calcio, Amalfi Coast tile art, Italian dessert making and cultural dancing with Miss Gregory. We are also very excited to have Calabria Sona joining us for some Italian entertainment who are here in Australia for the Italian Mornington Peninsula festa..
Our Grade 6 students will also take part in our two fun competitions — pizza making and spaghetti eating! We will also have a special Italian vehicle presentation during the day.
Every student will receive a gelato at recess, with gluten-free and dairy-free options available.
Students are encouraged to dress up for Italian Day. There are lots of possibilities — Pinocchio, a pizza chef, soccer player, Nonna or Nonno, gondolier, gelato, Leonardo da Vinci, Mona Lisa, a Roman, Italian opera singer or even a Ferrari driver!
You can be as creative as you like and/or come dressed in Italian colours!
Please remember that students will still need to bring their own snack, fruit and lunch from home.
We are looking forward to a wonderful day together.
Grazie mille
