Senior School Update

Year 12 students are currently completing their practice exams, which have been progressing well. Students have approached the exam period with focus and maturity, with many arriving early to study and making productive use of their time at school. In preparation for the exam period, students also participated in an Elevate Education workshop focused on effective study habits and exam preparation strategies.Preparations are also beginning for the end-of-year celebrations for our Year 12 students. The Valedictory Dinner will be held on 20 October, and our School Leaders are planning several lunchtime activities to celebrate the cohort and mark the conclusion of their time at Elwood College.Year 11 students recently participated in a Be Ahead of the Game workshop exploring gambling and its potential harms. The session prompted valuable discussions about the wide range of activities that may constitute gambling, including some that young people may not immediately recognise as such. It provided an important opportunity for students to consider gambling-related risks and develop their capacity to make informed and responsible decisions.
