Junior School update

It has been a smooth term for our Junior School students. This term, students have completed a larger number of CATs across their subjects, providing opportunities to develop their time management and organisation skills as they balance assessment tasks and their regular learning.

Students have also taken up a range of opportunities to develop skills and interests outside of their regular classes. Students have been actively participating in round robins and representing the College well. It was really pleasing to see so many Year 7 students get involved in this year's school musical, Honk! The number of students who auditioned and committed to rehearsals reflects their willingness to participate in school life. It was great to witness them build confidence, make new friendships and strengthen their connection to the school community. 

Our Year 8 students had a great time at camp at Lake Dewar earlier in the term. It was good to see them enjoying the experience, spending time with their friends and taking part in the activities on offer.

The Year 8s have completed their subject selections for 2027 and are looking forward to transitioning into the Middle School next year. It has been great to see their interest in the subjects on offer and their enthusiasm as they begin to think about the next stage of their schooling.

We have welcomed several new students across Years 7 and 8. These students are settling in well and have been supported through buddy systems and regular check-ins with Learning Leaders.

As we head into Term 4, we will continue to support students to maintain their routines, stay focused on their learning and make the most of the opportunities available to them.
