P&F Term 3 Wrap-Up

What a fantastic way to finish another busy term for our Stella Maris community!

We kicked off September with our Father’s Day Stall on Friday 4 September, beautifully organised by our Year 2 reps, Jen Willian, Una O’Brien and Deirdre Murphy. The children had a wonderful variety of thoughtful gifts to choose from for their dads, grandfathers and special people – there were certainly some very spoilt dads on Father’s Day! A huge thank you to Jen, Una and Deirdre for all the time and effort that went into organising such a lovely stall for our children and their special people.

The fun continued with our annual Kids vs Dads Footy Match, organised by our Year 3 reps, Clara Vernengo and Sarah Nasr. There was plenty of friendly competition, laughter and fun on the field! A big thank you to Dale Stevenson for keeping everyone in check, and congratulations to Ben Hamilton for claiming the longest kick bragging rights! Families also enjoyed a free sausage sizzle and drinks. Thank you to Clara, Sarah and all our wonderful parent helpers for making it such a fantastic afternoon!

A special shout-out also goes to Ash and Jen Willian, who organised our Father’s Day Dinner and Drinks at the Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadron. What a great opportunity for our school community to get together and celebrate.

Our final event for the term was Footy Colours Day on Thursday 17 September, always a fun day on the school calendar and definitely a highlight for many of the kids! The P&F was delighted to add to the festivities by providing a hot dog lunch for the students. A big thank you to our Year 6 reps, Caroline Ricardo, Cassandra Piacentini, Louisa Wright and Erica Carson, for organising the lunch and helping make the day extra special.

Finally, a very special thank you to all of our P&F members who give their time, energy and enthusiasm to plan and organise these events throughout the year. There is so much work that happens behind the scenes to bring each event to life, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do.

And to all of our Stella Maris families who volunteer and lend a hand on the day – thank you! Whether it’s setting up, serving food, running a stall, packing up or simply jumping in wherever you’re needed, your support is what allows these events to happen and makes our school community so special.

We’re looking forward to another fun-filled Term 4!
