During our novel study of Yirra and Her Deadly Dog, Demon, students developed their understanding across several areas of reading and writing. They demonstrated improved spelling accuracy, including the use of topic-specific vocabulary from the text, and applied correct grammar in their sentences. At the sentence level, students worked on constructing clear and varied sentences, including simple and some compound structures, to express their ideas.

Next term our Novel Study will be Matilda! We are looking forward to reading that book together.
This past week, we have been learning about the story of Easter. We completed detailed storyboards to map out the key events, focusing on accurately sequencing the narrative and identifying the most significant moments of the story. It was wonderful to see the students bring these events to life through their illustrations, and they took great pride in explaining the meaning behind each scene they created. These storyboards have been a fantastic way for the class to visualize the history and traditions of the season together.

Are you eating your 2 and 5 each day? These posters created by the students are encouraging us to eat our 2 fruit and 5 veg a day. Our fruit and vegetables help us grow big and strong.

Excitement is certainly growing regarding the upcoming Year 3/4 Camp. We are pleased to confirm that camp will take place on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th of June (the final two days of Term 2) at Camp Manyung in Mt Eliza. While it might seem a while away, the preparation behind the scenes is already in full swing. Keep an eye out for further details regarding activities, packing lists, and consent forms at the beginning of Term 2.
