Principal's Report

Saint Francis Xavier - Principal's Report
Term 1 - Week 10
Dear Parents and Friends of St Francis Xavier,
Today is Holy Thursday and we step into the heart of Holy Week - a special time to slow down, reflect, and draw closer to Christ. It’s a week that reminds us of His love, sacrifice, and the hope of new life. Holy Thursday invites us to remember the gift of the Eucharist and the importance of serving others with kindness. In the busyness of daily life, taking a few quiet moments for prayer can help us feel grounded and renewed. May this week bring you peace, reflection, and a sense of God’s presence with you.
Reconciliation
I would like to offer a huge congratulations to our Year 3 students who last week received the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. This is a significant milestone in their faith journey, and I am so proud to hear from Ms Marion about the reverence they showed.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Mr Brendan, Ms Debbie and Ms Marion for their dedicated preparation of the children.
I am grateful to Father Jude and Father Michael for leading the children through this beautiful sacrament with such care and generosity.

School Closure Day
I just wanted to give advance notice to families that there will be two school closure days during Term 2.
Friday 15th May
Tuesday 9th June (This is the Tuesday after the King's Birthday Public Holiday)
Finally, I would like to take a moment to acknowledge and thank the entire St Francis Xavier’s staff—our leaders, teachers, LSOs, and administration team—for their hard work and dedication throughout this first term of 2026. It is a pleasure to lead such a wonderful team.
I wish everyone in our community a blessed and relaxing Easter break and I look forward to seeing you on the first day of Term Two.
