Careers Centre
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Dillon Centre was buzzing on Thursday 7 May for our annual Expo. Year 10, 11 and 12 students had the opportunity to connect with a variety of tertiary providers, industry representatives and alumni. Students developed self advocacy in their career exploration and decision making, and confidence to attend the larger Career Expos and events held externally.

At Academy, we offer a range of opportunities for students to participate in structured work placements across Years 10, 11 and 12.
REMINDER to all Year 10s that they should be actively working towards securing a placement for the set week.
Year 10 students participate in an embedded, compulsory Work Experience program and all students will arrange a placement during the set week (14-18 September 2026). Students on the Italy trip can arrange alternative dates that suit their availability.
Additional placements are encouraged for all Year 10, 11 and 12 students and can be arranged throughout the year for periods of one day to a full week.
Our VET DSS students participate in Structured Workplace Learning during their courses, gaining valuable hands-on experience directly related to their studies.
More information is available on the Careers Centre class page on Compass, or you can contact Ms Lauren Sach directly.
Parents/Guardians – we are always looking to connect with our Academy community. If you have capacity to offer placements at your workplace or in your industry, please contact Ms Lauren Sach (lauren.sach@academy.vic.edu.au)
