Team Spirit is Our Competitive Edge
With changing Melbourne weather conditions, it was a last minute call to go ahead as planned with the school Athletics Carnival, and we were blessed with the outcome. The conditions were perfect for both track and field events, producing some outstanding results.
The day started with a unique ‘fashions on the field’ including customers dedicated to Shrek, Minions, the Very Hungry Caterpillar, Trolls and many more.
Participation was strong and competitive throughout the day with the lead changing many times. All students represented their House and the school with pride and good sportsmanship.

Overall House Points

All three teams had an amazing day at MSAC with all progressing to their respective grand finals.
Both Junior teams had success. The Year 7s won 18 to 6 and Charlotte J awarded best player, and the Year 8 team won 30 to 12 with Estella M best player.
Our Intermediate team won their grand final 23 to 16, with Charlie G awarded best player.
Unfortunately, the senior team finished runners up despite winning all of their games in the lead up to the grand final.
All girls were excellent representatives of the College, showing great sportsmanship.
We entered two teams into the recent Hockey competition, and the girls were enthusiastic and determined, despite the unfavourable weather conditions. With a mix of game results, we had some great action, however, we were not successful in taking out the top ladder positions this year.
Both junior teams showed great spirit and teamwork across all eight games played. The Year 7 girls won five of their eight games and finished fourth overall. The Year 8 girls won seven and had one draw, winning their grand final 34 to 22. The best player in the grand final was Estella Mu.
Special mention to our Year 11 coaches for the day – Clio Dinnen, Darcy Mitchell, Georgia Wojcik and Chloe Vela.
