On Thursday, 7 May, our Year 10 Cyber Sleuthing students attended the Big Day In at RMIT’s Capitol Theatre. Although Cyber Sleuthing officially begins in Semester 2, this excursion is part of the course and was held in Term 2 as it was the only Melbourne date available this year.
Students heard from a range of presenters, including the Australian Federal Police, WiseTech Global, IAG, Westpac, the Australian Defence Force, RMIT, Canstar and Tata Consultancy Services. They explored many areas of technology, including ethical hacking, software development, cyber security, artificial intelligence, robotics, virtual worlds, performance marketing and computational thinking.

It was wonderful to see students listening attentively, visiting exhibitor stands during the breaks and receiving giveaways while learning more about different technology pathways. We are proud of the way they represented the school and made the most of this valuable learning opportunity.
