Art
This week in Art the students did various art forms. Some of the students did weaving, others drew Picasso cats and the older students did cubism. Some photos from our talented students.
Weaving is the textile art in which two distinct sets of yarns or threads - called the warp and weft - are interlaced with each other at right angles to form a fabric or cloth. The warp threads run length-ways on the piece of cloth, while the weft runs horizontally.
Picasso Cats
Cubism is an influential art style depicting three-dimensional reality through geometrical shapes on a two-dimensional canvas cubist artists depict a subject by utilizing geometrical shapes.
In practice, form, and observation, cubist art is a means of discovering the true essence of a subject rather than a surface level perspective.
