Fashion Parade
On Friday, October 18th, Killester College transformed into a vibrant showcase of talent and creativity at its annual Art and Technology Exhibition. One highlight of the evening was the fashion parade featuring exceptional works from our VCE Fashion students, who took center stage to present their innovative designs.
The atmosphere was electric as students watched their creations come to life on the runway. This year’s Unit 1 and 2 pieces focused on cultural and ethical considerations, showcasing a deep understanding of the societal impacts of fashion. Among the diverse lineup of models, we saw participants ranging from teenagers to children, and even a unique garment designed specifically for a support dog (Arlo), reflecting the inclusivity and creativity of our budding designers.
The Year 12 students truly impressed us with their sophisticated designs, which demonstrated careful planning and the application of complex skills. Each piece was a testament to their hard work and creativity, standing out for its uniqueness and innovative approach.
As we celebrated this night of achievement, I felt immense pride in our Textile students. Their passion and dedication to their craft shone brightly, reminding us of the incredible talent that thrives within our school community.
We look forward to seeing where their creativity takes them next!
