2026 Book Week

2026 Book Week Celebration at HPS

Dear HPS Families,

We are thrilled to announce that the 2026 Children’s Book Week will take place in Week 7 this term, celebrating the theme “Symphony Of Stories” 

Book Week offers the chance to read, create texts and develop a lifelong love of Literacy. Week 7 will be jam packed with special events including:

• Creative writing tasks

   

• 3 epic reading activities as part of our whole school class swap

   

• A school-wide public speaking competition (more information to come)

   

• Our whole school dress up day on Friday. 

Key dates:

• Friday August 28, Whole school dress up parade from 9:10-9:45. Families are welcome to come along to this (more information to come)

   

• Friday August 28, Our Public Speaking Competition finalists will be announced at the parade.
