Prep Excursion to Traffic School

On Tuesday 4th August, our Prep students enjoyed a fantastic excursion to Traffic School in Kew. Throughout the day, the children had the opportunity to ride bikes and scooters while practising important road safety skills in a fun and engaging environment. They also loved dressing up as traffic supervisors, police officers and firefighters as they explored different community roles.

Although we experienced some rainy weather throughout the day, it certainly didn't dampen the children's enthusiasm! They showed great perseverance, developed their confidence on their bikes and scooters, and had lots of fun learning new skills.

The students listened attentively to an informative presentation about how to be a safe pedestrian and responsible passengers in cars, learning about the importance of wearing seat belts and the rules around sitting in the front seat. We also enjoyed the playground and working together playing some parachute games.

We are incredibly proud of the way all of our Prep students represented Highvale Primary School on our very first school excursion. Their excellent behaviour, positive attitudes and willingness to participate made the day a wonderful success.
