Hume Badminton Champions!
Our Year 7/8 Girls Badminton side conquered all before them at the Hume Regional Championships on 19 August, not dropping a single set on their way to glory!
Following their dominant performances, the four students, Jessica Voeurn, Vanessa Voeurn, Melody Su and Angelina Mckay will now go on to compete at the STATE Championships in September!
Well done girls, we can’t wait to cheer you on when you take on the best players in the state!
Jas Puts Foot Down In Biggest Test Yet
On Saturday 23 August, Year 7 student Jas Brown represented Victoria at the Cross Country Nationals for Athletics Australia in Ballarat. Competing against 79 athletes from across the country in the under 14s 3km event, Jas delivered an outstanding performance, placing 9th overall and finishing as the first member of the Victorian team across the line in his event.
His efforts contributed to Victoria securing a silver medal in the team competition – a fantastic achievement at this elite level. Jas earned his place at Nationals after qualifying through the All Schools State event in July, and his dedication and hard work have truly paid off!
We congratulate him on this wonderful accomplishment and for proudly representing both his school and state on the national stage.
Year 5/6 Lightning Premiership
On 22 August, we were proud to take part in the 2025 Yarrawonga Primary Schools Lightning Premiership, entering both a soccer team and a netball team — coached and managed by our talented Year 10 Sports Academy students.
Both teams played brilliantly, with our netball team finishing runners-up and our soccer team taking 3rd place overall on goal difference.
Well done to all players and our Year 10 coaches — a fantastic effort all round!
