Senior School Update

Over the past fortnight, our Year 10 students enjoyed an exciting camp experience in Melbourne where they explored the city’s cultural landmarks, navigated public transport, and built independence through urban adventures. We also welcomed a RoadSafety Workshop (pictured below), giving students practical insights into safe driving habits and pedestrian awareness.
Meanwhile, the Trades Centre is nearing completion and looks fantastic! Students and staff alike are eager to see it open and begin offering hands-on learning opportunities in vocational pathways.

Year 10 Melbourne Camp Adventure
Our Year 10 students recently enjoyed an action-packed three-day camp in Melbourne, filled with new experiences, team bonding, and hands-on learning.
Day one saw students explore the wonders of the Melbourne Aquarium before gaining unique insights into social enterprise at The Big Issue Classroom. The evening was a highlight, with breathtaking views from the Eureka Skydeck Edge Experience, followed by ice cream along the Yarra.
On day two, students hit the ice at O’Brien’s Icehouse, unleashed their creativity at Artvo, and tested their problem-solving skills in Sabouteurs. The afternoon included an unforgettable tour of the MCG, a visit to the Australian Sports Museum, and the chance to meet an Olympian (Tess Lloyd), before capping off the evening with indoor rock climbing at Hardrock.
The final day offered a fascinating dive into Melbourne’s legal history with a Court Room Drama experience on culpable driving, a Watch House Experience, and a tour of the Old Melbourne Gaol, before making their way home.
It was a fantastic few days of discovery, fun, and building memories that our students will carry with them well beyond their school years.
