Khipro Teacher Support Program School Profile

St Monica’s is proud to be a supporter of the Presentation Sisters of Pakistan through the establishment of the Khipro teacher support program, established in 2026. The Presentation community of Khipro in Sindh is supported with funds raised to support the payment of teacher salaries to assist with the recruitment and retention of teachers who teach across 13 village schools. 

One such school is the Fr Siep Urdu Primary School, located in in Sindh. It is a two room school constructed of bricks, straw, bamboo and hay on an earthen floor. 

This school is typical of the type of schools run by the Presentation Sisters in this part of Pakistan. It has two teachers and 50 students. It is located in an outlying village near Khipro, in a place called Vanyondaro.
