Library Services

Welcome to your SMC Library in 2025

Although our school year seems to have flown by a little already, the Library Services Faculty (LSF) would like to welcome everyone back, with a very special welcome to all our new students throughout SMC as well as our Year 7 cohort!

The LSF has hit the ground running and we now have three beautiful lending Libraries for our students. The Sister Julian Quaine Library at DSC, the Pamela Coyne Library at DRC and now, the St Stephen/Gaudete Library (see below) at our Reservoir Campus. We love our new Library, and we are sure that our Year 8 students based there will too!

After School Homework at PCL

A reminder to our parents and students that the After School Homework (ASH) sessions at the Pamela Coyne Library have now commenced and operate Monday to Thursday 3.30pm – 4.30pm.

Please note: Students from St Stephen/Gaudete Campus wishing to attend ASH, are required to return to the Dalton Road Campus to do so.

At ASH, students can work independently or in groups, will have access to the Library’s resources and assistance from our Senior Student Tutors as well as our volunteer subject teachers. Enquiries can be directed to the ASH Coordinator, Mrs E Carbone on 9409 8947.

Senior Study Centre at SJQL

The Sister Julian Quaine Library (SJQL) also runs an afterschool Study Centre for our Senior Students (Years 10-12).

Study Centre operates Monday to Thursday, 3.30pm – 5.00pm. Students here are also assisted by Tutors and Staff who volunteer their time to help.

Students with enquiries should speak with Ms E Bruty in the SJQL.
