📖 BOOK WEEK  & LAMONT BOOK FAIR 📖

We are celebrating Book Week next week (Monday 9th of September - Friday 13th of September).  This year's theme is 'Reading is Magic'. 

Students are invited to dress up as their favourite book characters or as something related to the theme on Monday the 9th of September. There will be a whole school parade from 2.30 - 3.10pm. Parents/guardians and younger siblings are most welcome to attend the parade!!! We are hoping to hold the parade on the assembly area (weather permitting).

On Tuesday the 10th of September, all students will be invited to participate in a workshop with New York Times Bestselling author, Adam Wallace!!! Adam will talk about his books, share some of the writing techniques and lead some crazy cartooning exercises. Feel free to some time checking out Adam's website before his visit :)

Next week, SJV will also host a Lamont Book Fair!!! All students will have an opportunity to browse the wide selection of books during their Library sessions and create their wish lists. 

Students and families are also invited to visit the Library before and after school at various times next week to see all of the wonderful books available to buy. 

Purchasing instructions will be provided on the back of the wish lists. Along with EFTPOS and cash payments, you will also be able to purchase books via an online payment portal - https://payments.lamontauthors.com.au/. This portal will open on Monday the 9th of September and be turned off at lunchtime on Thursday the 12th of September. Any purchases made via the online portal can be collected from the Book Fair the following day (unless the item needs to be re-ordered). 

Our Book Fair will close on the morning of Friday the 13th of September. 

The Book Fair is a wonderful opportunity for students to purchase books they love to read! It is also a positive way to give back to our school as a portion of all sales is returned to us so we can purchase new books for our Library!
