Principal Post
Dear Families,
Well what a night we had last evening as we celebrated our Visual Art Show at SJV! It was a brilliant carnival atmosphere enjoyed by all!!
Our congratulations to all our students for their fantastic achievements. The creativity, imagination and hard work that is so evident in the variety of art work is truly remarkable. The Hall was brightened with an explosion of colour, showcasing the incredible range of styles and techniques our young artists explored. From vibrant paintings, to inventive sculptures and mixed media, including Digi Tech, every artwork told its unique story.
My thanks to every student for sharing their work, and the families who supported the show. No doubt you are most proud! A special thank you to our Visual Arts Teacher Paula Perkins for her amazing work supporting and encouraging students to express their creativity. Her passion and dedication is truly appreciated. Thank you to all staff who helped set up our most brilliant displays.
Our thank you also to the choir, Carlie Dowley and Lauren Cameron and to the Arts Captains Kristy, Nirvair and Thisath for their hard work and for setting the scene so beautifully.
To our P&F thank you for your enormous efforts to organise the Food Trucks and entertainment. What a hit! Thank you to Renee, Nina and our fabulous performer Gale.
Fathers Day Breakfast
After a most beautiful and reflective Fathers Day Mass hosted by 5-6 O last Friday, our Fathers Day Breakfast on Monday Morning in the Performing Arts Area was another fantastic success. Despite the fact that out outdoor activities had to be cancelled due to the high winds, many commented on the great time they had with their child/ren and other Dads and granddads. The indoor activities along with some scrumptious food, family photos, door prizes and some good banter made for a most successful event!
Thank you to our staff and Sam Y from the P&F for their organisation and generosity of time.
District Sports
Tomorrow our Year 3-6 District Athletics Sports team will compete at Knox Track in Ringwood. It is a great achievement for these students to make it this far into the competition. We wish them well.
